I am very particular when choosing a specialist so although Dr. Starr was highly recommended by my primary physician before coming to him to remove my cataracts several years ago I checked his education and professional experience. Both were outstanding. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way he handled my two cataract procedures and with all the very thorough eye exams he has done subsequently. Aside from being an outstanding physician he also inspires confidence, doesn’t pressure a patient to have an unnecessary or delayable procedure, and he has a very engaging personality. My eyes are very important to me. I know beyond all doubt they are in very good hands with Dr. Starr.

I have been a patient of Dr. Starr for the past three years. He is very professional, reserved, knowledgeable and pleasant personality. I recommend him highly.

Diagnosis - Partial corneal transplant. Prescribed - excessive - expensive eye drops to “try” . No chance of working and didn’t work. Dr. Christopher Starr spent less than 5 minutes at my appointment after giving me a serious diagnosis. Stay away from this arrogant/incompetent doctor and office. Oh! they don’t follow up with e mails. I went to a different excellent doctor and I now have a corneal transplant.

I filled out an online form for laser surgery screening at Cornell Weill and was directed to Dr Starr for an appointment. A few days before the appointment an office person called and said simply - "you are too old for this" and the office cancelled the appointment. The intake form asked for my DOB so my age was not new information - I called Cornell Weill and asked if there were an age limit on the process and was told it was a "per practice" decision. I then asked for age appropriate eye checks that I should be having as a 58 yr old male... Instead of help I got fake corporate apology language and no good info. Very alienating process.

Dr. Christopher Starr has done cataract surgery on both my eyes. The second surgery was on October 9, 2019. I healed quickly and had very little discomfort after surgery. Most important, I now have 20-25 vision in both my eyes. There are patients who will carp about staff not responding in a timely matter but I assure you that the most important thing is having a truly successful surgery. That requires a great surgeon and Dr. Starr is absolutely the best.
