This place has a knowledgeable and helpful salesman. I brought in 2 designer frames I’ve had for years, and the salesman guided me to buy 2 pairs of high-end lenses. I also got a computer screen specialized pair, and chose beautiful new frames, with the help of the store’s opticians. It feels good to have the dignity of buying from a boutique-quality vision store on the Upper East Side. Also the ophthalmologist and other vision care staff are really thorough and nice. I never got such a thorough eye exam before, and glad I went here for this. You do need to go into the glasses store expecting to work with the salesman, as he is quite knowledgeable and persuasive. With his urging, I ordered top-of-the-line lenses, as my vision isn’t something I want to skimp on. But really they won’t cost me so much, since the staff is very knowledgeable about how my union sponsored vision insurance works. So I should be receiving over half of what I paid back as reimbursement from my insurance. I wasn’t expecting to pay this much out of pocket, but experience has taught me “you get what you pay for.” And really it’s not so much, considering I’ll get a lot back God willing, and that these computer-designed progressive lenses will assist my eyes to improve.

I have a beautiful new set of glasses that have made my face shine in a new way. Feel free to ask about nickle alternatives, they have lightweight selections that are *not* made of plastic. I recently visited for a medical exam for my red eye, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. I was warmly greeted at the door and started with some photos taken by the Medical Tech downstairs. When I saw Dr. Daniel, I was impressed by how knowledgeable and compassionate he was—he really listened to my concerns and had a wonderful bedside manner. After my exam, Jenny helped me with some sunglasses I was interested in, going above and beyond to show me the latest styles instead of just pushing the first pair I liked. My visit to Cohen’s was truly exceptional!

First of all it took over a month to complete my glasses. I get them back and the lense is not even inserted in the frame. One can f the lenses was hanging half way out, and the edges of the lenses wasn’t smoothed out. The first time I had the redone the lenses were to blurry. The last time I agreed to try nee lenses they came back scratched. They said they would reorder the lenses and the follow up has been horrible. I’m a very patient person but enough is enough. Service below expectations especially after paying $380 for a pair of lenses. I asked for an update Sunday, it’s now Thursday!! And two weeks after I picked up the frames. Never again!!!

I purchased glasses for my wife. The optometrist had the prescription wrong and I had to replace the lenses. They took care of everything with no extra charge and even changed the shape of the lenses according to her wishes. They take full responsibility for their products and service is very good.
