The place is clean, service was good, minimal waiting time and that's why I give them 2 stars, I went once and won't return. I feel this is the type of place that will nickel and dime you. I received a bill of over $80 for a complete exam for my child and I understand that some things are not covered by the insurance and I sent the payment right after I received it. Almost 2 years after, I received the same invoice as a final reminder or they would send me to collection. I called the number on the invoice and no one answers, unbelievable! The same or even a more complete examination was done for my child at the NY Eye and Ear infirmary and no extra bills were issued.

Jul 12, 2023 路 Mari GranizoMy first few visits with them were fine - the wait was always less than 10 minutes at most, and the checkup was very thorough, which is what I liked about them. I was in and out in around an hour. This time though, I scheduled for an afternoon appointment, came in to work at the office instead of remotely since it's close by, and took an hour out to walk down and get my annual eye exam. They charged me copay, after which they told me there were four people ahead of me and a more than hour-long wait, which really tells me that their service has deteriorated. Will not be going again and looking for another ophthamologist. The least you can do is schedule people in a timely fashion and not waste their time.

Jan 18, 2025 路 Junior MarcelinI was very impressed by the doctor and the staff at Downtown Eyecare when I went there for my eye exam. He was very personable and thorough. The staff made certain that I got all the information I needed to order glasses online from a different eyeglass company. When I was confused about all the online options, I called them and they walked me through the ordering my eyeglasses which was really amazing customer service! There was a bit of a wait to see the doctor. The store seemed safe for social distancing with the seats placed six feet apart. However, I sat in a seat next to a display for reading glasses and a person, who was wearing a mask, was standing over me looking through them. I thought he was too close so I moved but perhaps the display should be moved.

The main doctor and the male assistant was rolling their eyes and talking to me as if they鈥檙e annoyed by my presence and yeah I pay a lot of money to be here. Not my fault you guys overbook clients. What sucks is there isn鈥檛 many options for ophthalmologists in the area. I don鈥檛 like their vibe. The offices are clean. Took what I needed from them and left. Not coming back here at all.
