I’ve been a satisfied patient at FKR for at least 15 years. I initially sought them out for help with a thorny dry eye problem, at a time when those issues did not receive the attention they do today. Over time, they became my full service practice — refractions, retina exams and glaucoma checks, new eyeglasses etc. I’ve probably made 75 or 100 visits, interacting with everyone from admin, to the doctors to the opticians. The past and present pros who’ve taken care of me include, but are not limited to, Dr. Farkas, Dr. Resnick, Dr. Rosin, Nilda, Jovana, Ingrid, Cary, Boris, Sherry and many others. They run a tight ship. Waits are short, and the tech at their disposal is cutting-edge. The service is attentive and personal. It’s also calming: I typically walk out of there feeling like whatever my problem is, they have the road map for how to get it managed. It’s the Upper East Side. I live in Queens. I could probably find a more affordable place to get my eyeglasses. Recently, when I needed a new pair of progressives, two different employees showed me so many frames that were so thoughtfully chosen — based on my expressed interests in colors, styles and materials — that we were all punch drunk with goofiness by the time I reached a decision. That was a fun day, and typing this out reminds me of the time before that I had new glasses made: I was preparing for abdominal surgery and having mobility issues. I really did not want to make the trip into Manhattan to pick up the glasses when they were ready, but I knew I’d need the nose pads and temples fiddled with, and that I’d probably break them if I adjusted them myself. One employee, a fellow Queens resident, offered to meet me on a subway platform near my apartment to make the delivery and make sure things fit properly. So that’s what we did. First time I ever did business with my optician on a 7 train platform. You get what you pay for. The value of a good eye practice is in both the people there, and their network of contacts in the field. You will feel taken care of here, regardless of the scope of your issues.

Mar 11, 2025 · Liron StauberI have been a patient of FKR since the 1990s, even after I left NYC! They are simply the best--first with cutting edge advances in diagnostics and treatment, and excellent office workflow. My most recent visit was to Dr Kevin Rosin (whom I usually see)--he is kind, attentive, precise, and knowledgeable--his expertise is perfect for my needs as a contact lens patient with presbyopia and dry eye disease.
