If you’re shopping for contact lenses or eye glasses, I highly recommend Eye Solutions. I’ve been coming here with my family since 2013 and they have never disappointed me. They have a very modern facility with drinks, snacks and a very clean restroom. They take every insurance I understand and their prices are very reasonable compared to many of the other shops, even around Chinatown. I especially appreciate their customer service. The employees are trained very well and honest. For example there was some confusion about the warranty on some lenses, but one of the employees remembered us, stepped up and confirmed our understanding. Thanks to Carol for all her help with our contact lenses, and especially to Steve for all his consideration and excellent service.

The staff is nice there. However, they don't do a technically correct job so you don't get the benefit of the advance progressive lenses that you pay a lot for. They don't adjust your frame before doing all the measurement. They do frame adjustment after the lenses are made, in which case, the measurement that got sent to make your lenses are all thrown off and you are practically wasting your money on the expensive progressive lenses which can only give you the best vision with correct measurement of your frame position on your face. Also, nowadays, even stores in Shenzhen, China have those automatic measurement machines to do the measurement to achieve better result. It is a bit disappointing to see the technology here is lagging behind and they still do the measurement by hand and only do a subset of the measurements.

This is a well-deserved and long-overdue review for Steve at Eye Solutions on Mott Street, NYC. For several years, I’ve been getting my eyeglasses made here, and Steve, the supervisor, has always been friendly, patient, and attentive in helping me choose the right lenses. He’s highly knowledgeable about eyewear, and what sets him apart is that he’s not just focused on making a sale. Even when I didn’t place an order right away, Steve took the time to offer thoughtful advice to help me make the right decision. Steve is a refreshing example of professionalism and care in an industry often driven by profit. I’m grateful for his service and wholeheartedly recommend him. Kudo to Steve!

My go to place for eye exams and glasses. Their facilities are state of the art and they know to treat their customers well. The doctors here are very professional and their selection of glasses are great. Their waiting area is very comfortable; stacked with free snacks and drinks, free WiFi, and charging station. They accept insurance and try their best to accommodate your needs. Been going here for over a decade. I highly recommend this place!

Exellent service by Alex, James and the Optometrist. I forgot to write down her name. I was very worried about the hygiene of the facility, but the first thing when I came in was, asked to use the hand sanitizer. Once I arranged the appointment, I was asked to return at my appointment time. When I returned my presence was acknowledged and Alex and he was quick to check me in and directed me to the waiting area. The waiting area was very clean and cleaning products available. There is a small fridge with water and other beverages. That I found a very nice touch. Shortly after I was greeted by the OD, and she was very friendly and welcoming. I LOVE the new machines used. Which were cleaned and ready for my use. In the past the cataract eye pressure test has been difficult for me. My eyes blink when the puff of air is released. They have this machine that does it and it does not release the puff of air or bothers the eye. Overall my experience here has been a good one. I will return in 2 weeks time to get my glasses. I highly recommend this Optical.
