Manhattan Vision Associates

I've been going to Manhattan Vision for what seems like 30 years, but it has definitely been at least 20. The entire team is professional without being stodgy. Always a welcoming smile for you and pleasant at all times. I've been seeing eye doctors annually since I was 11 (i'm now well past retirement age) and years ago Dr Selenow caught something very important to my eye care that everyone else had missed/overlooked. This is not to say the other doctors were bad, but simply to say that Dr Selenow is just that good. I know that he is a researcher because I have participated in his research several times. Needless to say, the competence in this practice is beyond compare. I know because I've been to a lot of eye doctors in my lifetime. Dr Selenow and all of the other staff members at Manhattan Vision have 100% of my confidence and I can't see myself going to anyone else. Google him and you'll probably be happy with what you read. (I say this without ever having Googled him myself, but my confidence in Dr Selenow is just that high that I'm sure no one will be disappointed with what they find.)

I went to Manhattan Vision Associates as I needed a new eyeglass prescription. Everyone at the front desk was very pleasant and cordial. I had about a 2 minute wait and was called in. Before I met the Doctor, I was given a series of tests on different machines that I was very familiar with. Last stop was a young woman Eye Doctor whom I liked immensely.. She gave me a new script and acknowledged that my vision had changed quite a no. Very professional and Thorough. I highly recommend

The front desk staff were very nice and courteous. The tech was very pleasant and thorough. He gave great instructions during the procedures. Dr. Allee was awesome, she took her time during my consultation and explained things in simple terms. She is very friendly, warm and excellent at her job. Lastly, the most patient person, she helped me choose the frame for my new glasses. She was very helpful and nice. I highly recommend Manhattan Vision, especially Dr. Allen

The doctor was fine, but MVA is too cavalier about the way it bills patients. At the conclusion of my visit I was handed a charge receipt for a single lump sum - no itemized description of services, nor was I allowed to view the coding. I had to get my insurance company on a three-way call to learn that there were two separate services billed with a copay for one, and that the much more expensive of the two services was not covered. A patient should be entitled to an invoice with itemized charges. An ordinary grocery receipt does far better at describing what I have bought than MVA does.

Have been here for annual check and all eye issues for years. Good service and professional doctors! They tell you all possible fees before the appointment. No surprises. Highly recommend
