Feb 27, 2025 · Susan SimonDr. Maureperla misdiagnosed my Husbad's condition, eye cancer. First appointment the Doctor told him there was nothing wrong and come back in 3 months. Next appointment, the doctor said there wasn't anything wrong and come back in 6 months. My husband had an appointment at Willis Eye Hospital a week after his 2nd visit. Dr Carol Shields from Willis confirmed he had malignant melanoma of the eye. Two weeks later he had surgery. Wills caught it in time and he is cancer free.

While I acknowledge the overall quality of care provided at your facility, I am deeply troubled by the recurring delays and unsuccessful attempts to perform the scheduled eye surgery. Despite multiple appointments and scheduled procedures, no progress has been made, resulting in frustration and uncertainty regarding my treatment plan.
