STAY CLEAR OF DR.ADAIR. I went to her once and it was the worst experience ever in my life. Rude, never introduced herself, she rushed my entire appointment. Truly could not care less about her patients and she has her interns do all the work for her. Just look up her name and you'll see all her reviews are terrible. Im not even sure how she is still practicing. AWFUL NEVER GOING BACK.

Oh my god. Nothing against the staff, they were all great but the scheduling and the waiting is sooooo bad with this place. I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for almost 2 hours to just get seen by the doctor… we also have jobs that we are missing by coming here… like if you can’t accept that many patients, hire more doctors! This is my second time here and both times I had to wait multiple hours to see the doctor. It’s almost 6pm and people are leaving for the day and the doctor still have waiting rooms full of people.

DISASTER. Avoid at all costs. I had DR. ADAIR and she was terrible. The reception and the BILLING DEPARTMENT were also terrible. Here is why: 1. DR. ADAIR MADE A HUGE MISTAKE IN PRESCRIPTION // Dr Adair made a mistake by 1.00 when prescribing my glasses. I called and asked if she could modify the prescription. The receptionist said I needed to book another appointment. I asked if I would be charged for the new appointment, she said she didn't know. 2. DIDN'T HAVE ANY TRIAL CONTACTS AND STILL CHARGED ME // Dr Adair asked me if I wanted to try new contacts even though I said I really liked the brand I was already using. I said, sure, why not. She put in 1 pair of contacts in my eyes and apologized she didn't have any spare trial contacts left for me to take home. She still charged me $100 for trial contacts (she didn't warn me about the charge when she asked if I wanted to try them.) 3. POTENTIALLY OVER BILLED AND REFUSED TO CLARIFY THE BILL // I received the bill and was charged $400 for total services. I was billed under a code that had special services including an eye illness. I didn't have ANY special services done -- only my eye sight checked. I called my insurance and asked if this was normal -- they said it wasn't, that I should have been billed under eye sight check. The insurance said that I should call Dr Adair to ask why I was billed like this. I called and they transferred me to billing. Was on hold forever. I called back, they said they would take my number and give me a call back. They never did.

I booked an appointment for my mom after she went to urgent care for an eye issue and was recommended to see an ophthalmologist. The ophthalmologist who I booked the appointment with started the visit but then someone came in and said actually I was going to see another doctor because the one I booked with was a retinal specialist and my mother’s issue was not retinal. The other person introduced herself as a doctor and we went through the appt but I thought it was odd because she said things that didn’t make sense. I am a physician myself and was puzzled by her explanation but told myself ophthalmologist are suppose to be smart people. When I went home I looked up the person we saw and she was an optometrist not an ophthalmologist. I was shocked at how deceptive nyu was with switching this appointment without explaining to the patient. They should be ashamed of their practices.
