Professional Eye Care of NYC

I have been a patient at Dr. Alan Schlussel & Associates for many years now. Dr. Schlussel is the best eye care doctor I have ever visited. He was the only doctor to have brought significant relief to my severe dry eyes. Recently, my insurance changed, which proved challenging as I needed to decide to seek out a different eye care provider or stay with Dr. Schlussel. It only took me a few weeks to decide to stay with Dr. Schlussel. Today, on my first visit back, since I a change in my insurance, I saw Dr. Christine Law for the first time. I was not disappointed. She provided the same level of care as Dr. Schlussel. I highly recommend both doctors.

I've trusted my eyes to Dr. Schlussel for approximately 30 years. He is knowledgeable and patient. He takes the time to listen and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Appointments are easy to schedule. The office is always very clean and organized. His staff members are very professional and pleasant and make you feel welcome. I always leave with a smile. I highly recommend his practice.

Emergency request for evaluation of eye infection was handled efficiently with same day appointment provided. Check in process was easy. Staff cordial and efficient. Dr. Schlussel provided a comprehensive eye exam- taking time to explain findings, treatment plan, and follow-up needed. I was in and out within an hour - excellent service. Dr. Saggese was great. My complaint is with the facility. I went in for my annual eye exam (should be $10 copay). The receptionist brought me in and performed a bunch of scans, saying it's all routine. Then at checkout I was charged an additional $40 for a retina scan that I was not told is not covered under annual eye exam by insurance. I will not be going back here

Dr. Saggese is the only person you should trust in Manhattan with your eyes! For a few months I was getting severe headaches, occasional blurred vision- and I once lost my vision for a very short period of time. I was referred to Dr. Saggese and she listened to my concerns, was patient and gave me the most thorough exam. It turned out the doctor I went to a few months before had over corrected my perception and my lenses were too strong. Dr. Saggese immediately pin pointed the problem and i can’t express enough how grateful and happy I am with this practice. My whole family now comes here. Thank you again!
