Best Optical in Jackson heights.. Now they’ve opened another office in Ozone park 11417 Very professional employees, Dr. Ly is the best eyes doctor i can say. She tests in details and give good time to patients . The office is always very clean and they behave very nicely.. They also accept maximum of insurances. We always get the best service from them.. Highly recommended

Their routine eye exams don’t include dilation, only refraction. I showed them that dilation is in fact covered by my vision insurance, they said that the insurance company misinformed me. If I wanted dilation with my exam I would need to provide my medical insurance information in addition to vision insurance. I have NEVER been asked to provide medical insurance information by an optometrist or ophthalmologist for a routine eye exam. They offered to call to confirm benefits and said it would take at least an hour for them to get someone on the phone so I could keep my regular refraction-only appointment if I wanted to. I called insurance myself and spoke with someone within 15 minutes, they were appalled at what I was told. I didn’t actually get an exam. It’s irresponsible to NOT provide eye dilation during a routine yearly eye exam especially when it’s medically indicated. Avoid this place. There are much better options in the immediate vicinity.

To anyone who is seeing this, please ignore the negative comments. I can tell you that Shades of Vision is genuinely the best place to get your eyes checked and to get glasses. I went there yesterday and it was super quick. The incredible optometrist checked my eyes and then Safa, an employee, helped me pick out glasses. Not only was everyone super patient with my picky choosing of glasses, but they were super kind. I can’t fathom a bad experience here.10/10 service. 100% recommend.

The eyes examiner Doctor is not good enough. I visited two time and Doctor provided wrong estimation about my eyes. I feel so bad using that glass. I called for change this but they demand money for that again. I am totally hopeless.
