Stay FAR AWAY from this place! I’ve visited this place twice in the past for my annual checkups and had a profile on file with them. Over the past two years, I was bombarded with emails, texts, and phone calls reminding me to schedule my annual appointment with Dr. Werner. After finally booking it, I thought I was good to go. Little did I know, I was wasting my time. When I arrived, the receptionist casually asked what insurance I had. I said VSP, and she responded with, “Oh, Dr. Werner doesn’t work with VSP anymore. Do you want to cancel your appointment?” Seriously?! Instead of spamming me with nonstop reminders, maybe send a useful email or text saying Dr. Werner doesn’t accept my insurance anymore! I should have listened to all the bad reviews others have left, but the only reason I stuck with this place was their after-hours appointments on Wednesdays. Big mistake. Complete lack of communication and total disregard for patients’ time. If you value your time and sanity, avoid this place!

I had eye laser surgery here 11 years ago. I am so happy and greatful I found the right doctors for the job. My experience here have been wonderful. Great staff and amazing doctors. Thanks to Dr. Chen I no longer need glasses. Highly recommended.

The one star is for repeated over-billing despite my confirming repeatedly in advance what I will be billed for. The actual service is fine, but it isn't worth the hassle. This place is a factory and has terrible support services. They are nearly impossible to reach by phone, don't respond to emails, and don't follow up on things they tell you they will. The visit itself was quick and efficient, but the providers didn't really seem interested in answering questions and only spent a few minutes with me. I did get a good pair of glasses. I was billed for a service that I repeatedly and explicitly was told I would not be charged for. It took 3-4 months and about 12 phone calls to get the charge removed. I was told that I should see a cornea specialist. OCLI only has one 1.5 hours away in Long Island. I don't own a car. I live in Manhattan. They said they would look into an alternative in the city but never got back to me. I emailed to get my prescription information to order glasses elsewhere and got no answer. I called and got bounced around on an automated phone line. Impossible to actually talk to anyone. UPDATE: I returned for a routine eye exam. I specified repeatedly that that was all I wanted and mentioned issues with billing from prior visits. Guess what? They billed me for a higher level of service. I won't be returning.

Since they switched to OCLI the quality of the service has declined. I have been calling trying to set an up an appointment, no one has responded to any of my numerous messages. Despite the fact that the recording says someone will return your call by end of day. I have been a patient for over 10 years and am now in search of another ophthalmologist

Place has the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Every time i call, i get a voice recording saying the office is closed. The one time i was able to leave a message, nobody ever gave me a call back or responded. I got somebody on the phone the other day, they probably picked up on accident; they told me Id be able to find my glasses RX on their portal but when i signed in, there was nothing there. Called back, like 5 min after getting off the phone and nobody picked up. Called like 5 times until i started getting the “office is closed” message. I asked them to fax me an RX and they never sent it. This place is ridiculously unprofessional. Doctor Mckeague is okay but her work is overshadowed by her completely unresponsive office. I’ve been in that office and the phones are never buzzing, seems their phones are on DND or they just don’t feel like picking up.
