Sterling optical review 7/6/2024 I was wonderfully surprised and amazed at the thoughtful service and care I received by Suzette and Steve. I went to Sterling Optical on a recommendation from a friend because my own optician was unsuccessful at adjusting my eyeglasses (they tried three times) and I was desperate to have the nose pads adjusted for comfort. I was weary of approaching Sterling because I did not buy my eyeglasses from them. However, when I spoke to Suzette, she was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable that they would help me and have Steve adjust my eyeglasses. Upon arrival, I explained my concerns about the fit and Suzette took them for Steve to examine and adjust. After his assessment, he carefully marked the lenses and placed the eyeglasses on my face, looking carefully at my nose, eyes and ears. He then went back to make more adjustments. He came back and I wore the glasses and they were very comfortable and well balanced, no longer pressing the nose pad weight upon my nose bridge. I mostly wear contact lenses but decided to wear them at home for most of the day. They were comfortable and I did not feel the brunt of the weight of the nose pads digging into my nose. I am so thankful to both Suzette and Steve for giving me back the pair of eyeglasses that I can now wear with ease. Next time I have a new prescription, I am running to Sterling Optical to try, purchase and get a fitting for a new pair of eyeglasses. I’m a believer that anyone can sell you eyeglasses, but few can really give you good service for a fitting. I wholeheartedly recommend Sterling Optical for eyeglass service and purchase. Today I dropped into Sterling Optical to see if I could have my sunglasses tightened. They’ve been falling down my nose constantly for a couple of years now and of course the heat in summer makes it worse. When I came in I was greeted warmly by Suzette and she was able to schedule a fitting with Steve in only 30 minutes. He was able to quickly fix my sunglasses. Now they sit perfectly on my nose and no slippage! Why didn’t I do this years ago? And when I offered to pay, Suzette told me it would be no charge! This is NYC, who charges nothing doing something amazing?! There’s a reason their rating is so high. I’ll definitely be back to have my next pair of glasses done here. Suzette is an absolute joy and she treats you like you are the only person in the world while taking care of you. I truly appreciate her opinion, patience and her kindness. Suzette is the heart of Sterling Optical and Steve has got the numbers down! He’ll make sure those glasses fit just right! Honestly, they make such a great team; you can’t go wrong!

It is by far the best optical store I have ever visited. Firstly, they provide an orderly, clear, and extremely friendly service. They make sure you are comfortable and satisfied with the final product. Additionally, the after-sales service is outstanding. I highly recommend them.

The best eye doctor experience I’ve had in NYC. I have an odd prescription and this was my first time getting contacts, but Suzette was wonderful and beyond patient while we spent months trying to find the right set for me. Thanks to her persistence we were able to find a prescription that works! I’ll never go anywhere else in the city
