Visionworks Newport Plaza

Took my aging aunt and everyone was helpful. The Dr and assistants were very patient and helpful to answer all our questions. Oh yeah, the ice on the cake, the place is brand new and spacious.

Visionworks please make your customer service more HUMAN. I usually go to Bayonne location but they had no availability on weekends. I took an expensive uber to get to the appointment and ended up in traffic. I called and said I might be a few minutes late. When I arrived they said they already filled my spot and rescheduled my appointment even though I called and alerted them. The employee said the computer does it automatically.

Had a really great experience here from the pre-screening to the exam to picking out my frames and walking through the different options for my lenses. Appreciate the staff, Nailah, Dr. Jones, and Miguel (apologies if I got the names wrong!) for their care, patience, and attention to my needs.

One of the worst and most rude staff I have seen who turn people with appointments away for being 5 mins over their time. The person who calls herself the management was by far the rudest front desk staff I have ever met in the US at a doctors office. She would not allow us to wait there despite there being not a single person in line waiting to be seen. Simply told us to make another appointment if we wanted to be seen. If there were negative stars this would be it for the front desk person. Extremely disappointed at the attitude shown.

I recently visited Visionworks for a routine eye exam, but my experience was disappointing due to unclear communication about additional charges. I was informed that a $19 test was "mandatory" to proceed with my regular eye exam. The staff member insisted that the doctor would require it anyway, leaving me feeling pressured into paying for something I wasn’t prepared for. While the amount wasn’t much, the lack of transparency and upfront explanation made me feel misled. Clear communication is key to building trust with customers, and unfortunately, this interaction left me dissatisfied. I hope Visionworks improves their communication practices to ensure customers fully understand any additional charges before proceeding with services.
