I took my child here about a year and half ago . This doctor told me that my son needs to get prescription glasses to help him with being able to see from close . She told me he can’t see things that are close which is incorrect because my son used to see the smallest tinniest things . Then I said are you sure he needs glasses and what happed if I don’t get him glasses . I didn’t want my son at the age of 2 years to wear glasses because it’s only gonna make it worse for him. She answered me “ he will loose his vision overtime “ that’s like telling me my son will be blind if I don’t get glasses . After that I took my child to 2 other eye doctors for 2 more opinions . That was a year after and again last week . Both doctor refused to write any glasses proscription for my son because they said he completely fine and i just need to watch him cause some kids with time overcome this condition. They said this is normal in his age and a very high percentage of kids his age overcome it . You have no idea what this doctor put me through. I literally cried nights and nights and worried so much that my son will loose his vision. And thank god I didn’t go by her “advice” and got perscriotion glasses for him at the age of 2. Just think before saying things like that to parents . I had to mention that at first they refused to let me in cause we didn’t have masks after driving an hour to get to the office . Are you for real? You don’t have extra masks in the office ??? Then I left to the parking lot and called them to speak to the supervisor. Was upset and told them you really turned me and my child away cause we don’t have masks ? Then she said come on in “ she had extra masks “ . Horrible . I don’t recommend this office to anyone .!!!!!

Bloom, M.D., who practices at Pediatric Eye Associates, located at Lower Level-1, 5605, 22 Old Short Hills Rd, Livingston, NJ 07039, USA. While this practice is located in the United States, examining customer feedback, which includes both concerning and positive experiences, can offer insights as you search for a suitable "Eye Doctor Near Me" for your child.
According to one online review, a parent who visited Dr. Bloom approximately a year and a half ago reported a concerning experience. This parent stated that Dr. Bloom recommended prescription glasses for their two-year-old son for close-up vision issues, allegedly claiming the child "can't see things that are close," which the parent believed to be incorrect. The parent expressed hesitation about their young child wearing glasses and inquired about the consequences of not doing so, to which Dr. Bloom reportedly replied that the child "will loose his vision overtime," which the parent interpreted as a prediction of blindness. Subsequently, the parent sought second and third opinions from two other eye doctors over the following year, who both reportedly found the child's vision to be normal for his age and advised observation rather than prescribing glasses. The parent expressed significant distress and worry due to Dr. Bloom's initial assessment and was grateful they did not follow her advice. This review also mentioned an initial refusal of entry to the office due to not having masks, which was later resolved.
In contrast, another recent review described a very positive first visit with Dr. Bloom. This parent felt "could not be happier" with Dr. Bloom and the office. They reported that Dr. Bloom listened to their concerns, conducted a "full eye exam," and accurately diagnosed an issue in their 2.5-year-old that had been previously dismissed by another doctor. This reviewer was "truly impressed" with Dr. Bloom's patience and thoroughness.
The services offered by Dr. Rachel I. Bloom at Pediatric Eye Associates focus on pediatric ophthalmology, including comprehensive eye exams for children, diagnosis and management of childhood eye conditions, and potentially the prescription of eyeglasses. The environment of the office is described as having a thorough and patient doctor, but there is conflicting feedback regarding diagnostic accuracy and initial office policy regarding masks. A positive note was also made about the optical office in the lobby, PD Optics, for their efficient glasses fitting for toddlers. The key features highlighted are Dr. Bloom's thoroughness and patience, as well as the contrasting reports regarding diagnostic accuracy and office policies. While no specific promotional information was available in the provided reviews, the differing accounts suggest that experiences may vary. When searching for a "Eye Doctor Near Me" for your child in Taiwan, consider the importance of thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, clear communication, and a welcoming office environment. Oct 24, 2023 · Jouliette IbraWe recently had our first visit with Dr. Bloom at Pediatric Eye Associates and could not be happier with her and the office. She listened to my concerns, did a full eye exam, and diagnosed an issue that I’ve noticed since birth in my 2.5 year old but felt blown off by another doctor. I was truly impressed with her patience and thoroughness. Also, a thumbs up for the optical office in the lobby (PD Optics) that got my busy and tired toddler fitted with glasses in record timing.
Feb 01, 2019 · Megan CondelloDr. Bloom took the time to explain our daughter’s condition. She explained the process and answered our questions. I feel comfortable with her and hope to get more information from her in the future. Update: 3/8/21 My daughter is now 3 and always asks to see Dr. Bloom (even when it’s time to see her dentist or pediatrician). She had surgery a year ago. I remember being so scared and anxious as we prepared to send her in. Dr. Bloom came and spoke to us, gave her a soft toy pig, and provided so much comfort for us. To date, if my daughter sees the pig she says “From Dr. Bloom”. She consistently followed up with us and continued to answer our questions to make sure we were well informed. We couldn’t have chosen a better practitioner to entrust the treatment of our child’s eyes.
