I had a positive experience with the doctor and staff, who were both great. The doctor is definitely 5-star—very professional and attentive. However, I’m giving 3 stars due to the long wait time at the Queens Blvd location. The two-hour wait would probably deter me from returning, though I might consider the Hillside location in hopes of a shorter wait. That said, if you don’t mind waiting, the doctor is excellent and worth seeing.

The girls at the reception desk were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They made the entire visit smooth and pleasant. I was extremely satisfied with the service and care provided. Once you get to see Dr. Whitaker, she will focus on you with empathy and without distraction. The issues are that it takes hours of waiting to get to see her. Granted, they take most insurance, and they try to accommodate everyone. What makes it worse, though, is that they don't fit for contacts, and perform other services. Again, taking their viewpoint - I can imagine the wait would be even longer. So... wait many hours for limited services? Even if the entire team has a great attitude, they take most insurance, and they have the latest equipment? You decide. I emailed some questions that didn't get answered during the visit,and it took several phone calls and follow up requests to finally get a response about a week later. I decided that it's just not for me. Everyone has different standards and needs. Dr Whitaker is a knowledgeable eye doctor. If you don't mind waiting unacceptably long times, you'll be in great hands.

Very happy with my recent appointment. Such an efficiency staff, moved me along to the many eye tests. And a very patient and knowledgeable doctor, Dr. Beatrice Whitaker.
