I was unsure of the process and what the coverage would be, so I called the NVA customer service line for assistance and information. Not only were they knowledgeable, but they took the time to walk me through the process and stayed by my side as I ordered my contacts.
Feb 21, 2025 · Katie MarlandBought my wife some glasses at Walmart Vision Center. The center filed the claim wrong, and we paid $365 out of pocket for the glasses, on top of the cost of the eye exam. Only $51 was paid by the insurance company. Went to the website to question this, as I'd gotten glasses a couple of months earlier and they'd covered $165 for that purchase. After multiple email exchanges, and me providing the receipt photo multiple times, I was told that I should have only paid $140 out of pocket. When I asked if I'd be reimbursed, I was told that I would not. Because only the provider or I could file, not both. Not much point in paying for insurance if it's nothing but a useless hassle. How was I to predict that the provider would file wrong and I'd be cheated out of that money? ***update*** While NVA would not pay me, because they'd paid Walmart (even though it was the wrong amount) they did put pressure on Walmart to refund part of my money. It took multiple emails and 6 months of waiting, but Walmart finally sent me a check for $96.
Mar 18, 2025 · ChrisHave had them for a few months now and submitted a request to get my provider added 4 times with no response from NVA. I sent NVA an email and they asked me to get the information vs them doing it their selfs. So far not pleased with this insurance provider at all. Update from intial review (1 week later) - Been talking to their reps and after a few emails I am back at square one. The rep did not address my initial question and said your check should be in the mail in a few weeks. So instead of getting my provider the information they need to come into network they just ignored me and now I am out a few hundred dollars. I will not be using their services again.
