My ophthalmologist referred me to Bay Ridge Family Eye Care. I found an excellent provider of personal optometry service. I’ve worn eyeglasses for over 30 years and lived in different parts of NYC. This company and their service are the best I’ve found. I am comfortable recommending Bay Ridge Family Eye Care to my neighbors and friends. If my eyeglass frames need any adjustment, I am always welcome back, and one of the technicians will take care of me. The difference between a small business and a big chain is the personal attention and follow-up. It doesn’t come any better than the personal attention and excellent support that comes after the sale of the glasses to the Consumer, all in the same store where I purchased my glasses initially
For our local users in Taiwan seeking information about eye care providers that also sell eyewear, we want to introduce you to Bay Ridge Family Eye Care, located at 6834 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220, USA. While this establishment is located in the United States, the strongly contrasting feedback from customers regarding their service and the quality of their eyewear offers valuable perspectives to consider when choosing your local "Eye Doctor Near Me" that also sells goods.
According to one online review, a customer who was referred by their ophthalmologist found Bay Ridge Family Eye Care to be an "excellent provider of personal optometry service." Having worn eyeglasses for over 30 years and lived in different parts of NYC, this customer stated that the company and their service were "the best I’ve found." They felt comfortable recommending Bay Ridge Family Eye Care to their neighbors and friends, noting the convenience of being welcome back for free eyeglass frame adjustments. This reviewer emphasized the personal attention and follow-up support, typical of a small business, as a key differentiator from big chains, highlighting the excellent after-sale support all in the same store where they initially purchased their glasses.
However, another reviewer had a severely negative experience, regretting that zero stars was not an option. This customer claimed to have called a week in advance to reschedule their appointment, which was supposed to be on the day of the review. Upon arriving on time, they were allegedly told that their appointment was not confirmed and had been removed from the schedule. This reviewer vowed never to return. Additionally, they mentioned that their 81-year-old mother had gone to Bay Ridge Family Eye Care and received $300 glasses that were "useless" as she reportedly could not see well with them, wishing "good luck to any other victim going there!"
Bay Ridge Family Eye Care appears to be an optometry practice that offers eye examinations and sells eyeglasses. The environment is likely that of a local, small business. Key features highlighted in the positive review include excellent personal service, free frame adjustments, and strong after-sale support. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about appointment scheduling reliability and the quality and effectiveness of the eyewear provided, particularly for an elderly patient. No specific promotional information was available in the provided reviews; instead, the feedback presents a stark contrast in customer satisfaction and perceived quality of service and products.
When searching for an "Eye Doctor Near Me" in Taiwan that also sells eyewear, it is crucial to look for consistent positive feedback regarding both the quality of eye care services and the reliability and effectiveness of the eyeglasses provided. The reviews for Bay Ridge Family Eye Care present a significant divergence in customer experiences, with high praise for personal service contrasted with serious allegations of scheduling issues and ineffective eyewear. It is recommended to seek more comprehensive and consistently positive feedback when choosing an eye care provider and eyewear retailer, especially when considering the needs of elderly family members.
Bay Ridge Family Eye Care can be contacted at phone number (718) 680-3270 or mobile phone +1 718-680-3270 for individuals who may be in the Brooklyn, NY area and are interested in their services. Mar 13, 2025 · steven cottoneToo bad zero stars was not available! I had enough curtesy to call a week in advance to reschedule my appointment, which was supposed to be today. I showed up on time and the guy there tells me that they weren't able to confirm my appointment so they took me out. Seriously? I will NEVER go there again! BTW, my 81-year old mom went there too, she ended up getting $300 glasses...which are useless...she cannot see well with these glasses. Good luck to any other victim going there!
Oct 26, 2024 · Gordana Ozimec BuchananI had a prescription that I bought in with me. I picked the frames I wanted, very very inexpensive ones, they filled the lens prescription, progressives. The problem is I'm very disappointed with the lenses. Even when I use the purity cleaner, they don't feel like they get clear. It feels like not a good quality lens. I don't see as well in them like my older glasses, which is odd because these new glasses are the updated prescription. They felt good in the store, but after wearing them for a couple weeks I noticed that there was a problem with them. I don't feel comfortable going back into the store with this issue. I had gone to them several years ago and was very satisfied. Not this time.
Feb 18, 2024 · Lyn qqLucentiDon’t bother going there . They are a waste of time . Rude and not willing to accommodate. I didn’t get the name of the person in the front desk but the guy was very rude openly showing that was very bothered by me trying to translate for my parents that doesn’t speak English. Very judgmental and unwilling to help. I had scheduled for both of them the appointment and he said only one can be seen today because you took to much time filling the paperwork. I don’t know how would you dare to waste people’s time and be so disrespectful. Save yourself the nerves and don’t go to this place. They don’t deserve business.
Jun 24, 2024 · Anisa GjokaHighly recommend-- eye exam was the most thorough and comfortable I've had in years. Dr. Paul was very patient in finding the best prescription and took the time to explain my scans and previous prescription. I usually have trouble getting a solid prescription and Dr. P even provided me with two test contact prescriptions to try out. Ordered two pairs of glasses and contacts, all arrived within a few days from the order date (contacts arrived next day). I'm used to waiting one-two weeks at other places so this was great!
