The doctor was very kind and thorough. However, I almost walked out. The front desk was out to lunch. I had an appointment and sat in the waiting area for well over an hour watching people that came 15 to 20 minutes after me be called right through to the intake, and then onto the doctor - close to an hour and 20 minutes to be exact. Finally, I went back to the young woman at the front desk to inquire what happened. She said, "Oh let me find out." Then finally, I got through to the first part of the appointment with the intake person who told me the young woman at the front desk lost my chart. He apologized for her. As I said, the doctor was good. So thankfully, I waited. When my appointment was over, I went back to the young woman at the front desk and said, "You lost my chart." Her response was barely a sorry. This was not cool. She should have apologized before I said anything. I get it, things happen and people are fallible, however to barely acknowledge her mistake was not a good look for the office. If I had made that mistake, I would have gone out of my way to express my regret for the extreme waste of my time.

Mar 19, 2025 · Manuela OlivieriDr. Benjamin Whigham is fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable, thorough, caring, willing to explain everything. I would give him 6 of 5 stars on those attributes. The only downside (and one to consider) is that the waits are extremely long. Block your calendar for several hours as this extra care takes extra time. Considering the importance of good eye care and the rarity of top-quality doctors, I think it's worth it. But just manage your expectations, and your calendar. Be nice to his wonderful (empathetic) office team. Again, it's worth it.

The first day of my visit I was waiting for the staff to come and open the office and a lady who’s name is Mary came with such a bad mood that didn’t even answered me when I said good morning to her. When I made the payment on my first visit, I asked for a receipt and it was never given to me. On my second visit the same lady Mary told me to have a seat and wait to be checked in because I arrived too early and then she forgot to check me in, the same way how she did with another gentleman who was seating next to me. He didn’t even bother and left the office feeling very disappointed. When they finally checked me in I was told I had 8 patients waiting in front of me so for sure they overbooked appointments. I asked to Mary again to give me a receipt and she never did. When I was leaving the office, I asked another lady and she gave me the wrong one. Basically my experience was a total disaster. I just called the office asking for the receipt to be sent to my email and they said it’s not possible. A receipt it’s not part of HIPPA, so they just don’t feel doing it. The doctor was good but for sure this place need to handle things more professionally.
Dec 30, 2024 · MarthaDr. Ellant is the only doctor I truly trust! He is patient and god knows I have tested his patience over the years. He did my PRK surgery back in 2020 and ever since then I have been going to him for yearly checkup or whenever I have any concerns regarding my vision.
