Feb 17, 2025 · Angel VandessppollLove this office! The staff are clean, kind and professional. Whenever I come (and I am there pretty early in the AM), there is a staff member sanitizing the staff work and patient areas ... so very commendable!! It is comforting and reassuring to see such internal care. The doctors are EXCELLENT, caring and knowledgeable. I feel safe here. I LOVE the facility, the practice and all the supportive staff within. Kudos to a practice well done and organized!!
Jul 10, 2023 · michon brownI had strabismus surgery with Dr. Wisnicki last year. I developed a 4th cranial nerve palsy spontaneously at age 57 and wore prism glasses for over 1 year before being referred to Dr. Wisnicki. I had a painless surgery and quick recovery. My vision was improved immediately such that I immediately had resolution of my double vision. My vision has continued to improve and is back to "normal" - I still have mild myopia but do not need glasses. My only regret is that I did not have the surgery sooner. Dr. Wisnicki and staff were great.
Mar 08, 2025 · Jack InsanityI have had a great experience with Dr Wisnicki for my strabismus surgery. I had strabismus surgery as a baby which reverted when I was around 9, and I’d been back and forth with the idea of a revisionary surgery for 15 years. I’d been to vision therapy before and knew from that I was a bit of a difficult case since my eyes crossed out but had originally had the issue of crossing in. I found Dr Wisnicki through just googling and after reading his reviews decided to book a consultation. He was very confident surgery would work for me and we booked surgery for a month and a half later. The surgery went very smooth, I appreciate that he advocated for me with the nurses and anesthesiologist to let me keep my piercings in as I have a fair amount and didn’t want to loose them while I was under. I’m four months post surgery and my eyes are so much straighter than before. I don’t have perfect binocular vision still but the fact I can easily make eye contact and look straight in pictures really helps my confidence. After all these years I am so glad to finally have gotten this surgery.
Jan 14, 2025 · Kate GelbartDoctors are ok, but admin staff is difficult to deal with: disorganized, misinformed, messy and unresponsive (it's impossible to get ahold of someone, in person or on the phone). During my yearly check-up they insisted my insurance didn't cover $50 for a refraction - which I knew isn't accurate - and withheld my prescription (!!) until I accepted to pay (which feels like extortion). I later confirmed with my insurance that refraction was indeed covered (just like I said from the start) and needed an itemized bill to get reimbursed, which Union Sq Eye Care was incapable to provide... Charging undue fees to patients is one thing, but not even being able to provide proper documentation for charges patients paid for is pretty alarming. Bonus features: over 1h late, rude medical assistants, crowded waiting room with nowhere to sit, etc.
