Although my interaction with Dr. Freilich was brief, his professionalism and knowledge of ophthalmology was evident along with the nurses that assist my diagnosis. Patient liaison were were performed with courtesy. However waiting time to see the ophthalmologist was quite lengthy

I like the doctor. He seems to be quite competent. I am not so happy with the staff. I was in one room with a woman who was doing some pre tests. While working with me, she was replaced by a man, since she was bilingual, and another patient needed her to speak Spanish. No big deal. Then i am doing tests with the man, and someone pulls him away for a computer issue, which i did not appreciate. I had my eyes dilated and had pictures taken, and was waiting quite some time in a second waiting room. I asked a staff member if they forgot about me, and his response, “oh, the doctor isn’t even in yet.” This, of course, infuriated me. He came back a few minutes later and said the doctor just came in. I was seen soon after that. I expressed to the doctor my frustration with the waiting, and he said that I should always expect an hour wait between being dilated and pre-tests. This explanation was fine with me, but the staff should state that when making appointments, so there isn’t a level of anxiety and frustration that develops. In total, i received about 10 texts, emails and phone calks from the office, reminding me to be on time. Somewhere in there, they could have said that the time to actually see the doctor is a minimum of an hour

Dr.Freilich is an exceptionally thorough Doctor. I have been seeing him for diabetic retinopathy for about 2 months now. His treatment has already had a very positive impact on my vision. He can be stern but behind this demeanor he cares a lot for the well being of his patients

Probably the most thorough retinal exam I’ve ever had! Nice disposition to the doctor and answered all my questions very politely & nicely

Dr Freilich is very thoughtful, thorough, skilled, and caring, and his entire office team is warm and helpful. Dr Freilich personally got 2 of his physician colleagues on the phone while we were there in order to ensure that our needs were completely taken care of. Thank you!!
