I am a current patient of Dr Spencer Langevin,MD. who I call my Angel from heaven is truly grateful to God for being referred to Dr Langevin. When I had my first appointment with him I felt comfortable and safe. During that appointment and during my exam along with having Uveitis, a very large macular hole was discovered. Dr Langevin, and I discuss the risks and options of surgery. He was totally honest with me the chances of the surgery being successful due to the size of the hole. Over a period of treatment for Uveitis to get the inflammation under control. Trusting Dr Langevin I was comfortable and safe enough to make the decision to have the surgery. Today I had my third post op appointment and the hole is completely closed and my vision is getting better. The surgery was beyond successful Dr Langevin is an amazing Dr Langevin takes the time to fully exam you and is totally honest. Also his entire staff from the front desk, nurses, and office manager and professional and respectful. They make you feel comfortable and safe at all times recommend anyone with Retina and Uveitis to make a appointment today.

Customer reviews for Brooklyn Eye Center present strongly contrasting opinions, particularly regarding Dr. Spencer Langevin, MD. One patient with Uveitis and a large macular hole describes Dr. Langevin as their "Angel from heaven" and expresses immense gratitude for his care. They felt comfortable and safe during their appointments and appreciated Dr. Langevin's honesty in discussing the risks and options of surgery. Following treatment for Uveitis and subsequent surgery performed by Dr. Langevin, the patient reports a completely closed macular hole and improving vision, deeming the surgery "beyond successful." They also commend Dr. Langevin for taking the time to fully examine patients and being totally honest, as well as praising the entire staff for their professionalism and respect, recommending the center for Retina and Uveitis issues.

Conversely, another reviewer had an extremely negative experience, recommending that the place "should be shut down" due to alleged misdiagnosis, rudeness, and unprofessional behavior by the eye doctor identified as "Dr. Spencer." This reviewer claims to have been misdiagnosed and felt that their concerns were bypassed and assumptions were made. They also allege being accused and report that a comment they left was deleted. This individual strongly advises against visiting Brooklyn Eye Center for those seeking accurate diagnoses and attentive care, stating that their mother also experienced a misdiagnosis there. They describe the doctors who check eyes as "very uneducated" and suggest they are primarily focused on taking patients' money. The reviewer did note that "the other doctors were very nice," creating a disparity in the reported experiences within the center.

The reviews indicate that Brooklyn Eye Center has multiple doctors on staff. Dr. Spencer Langevin receives both exceptionally high praise for successful surgical outcomes and patient care in complex cases like Uveitis and macular holes, as well as severe criticism regarding misdiagnosis, rudeness, and unprofessionalism. Other doctors in the center are mentioned as being nice, but the specific services they provide are not detailed. The office environment is described positively by one reviewer who felt comfortable and safe. However, the conflicting reports, particularly concerning the diagnostic accuracy and bedside manner of at least one of the eye doctors, should be carefully considered by potential patients. No information about specific services offered beyond eye exams and surgery for conditions like macular holes and Uveitis, or any promotional information, is available from these reviews.

This place should be shut down because the eye doctor (Dr. Spencer) misdiagnosed people with their eye problem and he is very rude. He had the nerve and so is the boss or the director has the nerve to delete someone's comment. This place should be shut down and filed for giving misinformation, misdiagnosis, being rude, not listening to patients, and giving mix messages. I had came there to get my eyes checked, I said exactly what happened to my eyes and the person just bypass everything and assumed everything. Then has the nerve to accuse. I do not recommend this place if you want real diagnosis, realistic information, and people listening to you. My mom also goes there but she has stopped. She wet there for a certain issue, but then was misdiagnosed by claiming she has cataracts when she doesn't, and I'm the one that actually has that cataract problem. But I also was misdiagnosed. So again, do not come to this place; if you want to come to this place be prepared to get misdiagnosed and given misinformation. The other doctors were very nice. But the ones that check your eyes, literally, shouldn't be working there. They're very uneducated and should go back to school. In my honest truth, I feel like these people came from the streets an never went to school (the ones that check your eyes). I believe they work here just to take people's money.
