May 06, 2021 · Lauren Koterba CusanoMy 12 yr old daughter had a sudden onset of cyclical strabismus in June of 2021. Her eyes would be crossed for about 24 hours straight and then straight for the next 24 hrs and then back to crossed. Almost like clockwork. It was very scary and very difficult because we had never heard of or seen anything like this before and she was getting dizzy, nauseous and occasionally had headaches. Our normal optometrist wanted us to see a specialist and highly recommended Dr. Napolitano. The cyclical version is apparently very, very rare... so rare that Dr. Napolitano had never seen it in his office before and he's been an eye doctor for decades. It took a few visits to figure out what was going on and what would potentially fix it, but Dr. Napolitano took good care of us and eventually recommended surgery. He executed the surgery himself at the Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick in September of 2021, just before my daughter started middle school and we couldn't be happier... the surgery was a huge success.. her eyes are no longer crossing and her vision is great. Thank God for a doctor with so much experience! Yay for modern medicine and yay Dr. Nap!!!

May 26, 2021 · Karen SolisMy experience with Dr. Napolitano, MD was excellent. He performed eye muscle surgery to correct vision problems and my results are amazing. All of the over lapping images I was seeing have been resolved. I couldn't be happier.
Dec 10, 2019 · Nancy LeBelI wish I could give him zero stars. The level of incompetence of the office staff and the doctor himself are unparalleled and saddening. They made us wait almost 3 hours to "process" us, since we were new patients. Then dilated my son's eyes for no reason, since they already knew what he had, on the sunniest day of the year, risking sever eye damage, and he was NOT EVEN provided with sunglasses. Dr. tried to convince us to have surgery unnecessarily. We were referred to him by one Dr. Will Ference, also a crook, who pretended not to know what was wrong with my son, simply so Napolitano could milk our insurance. Dr. Ference had lied and said our son might need an MRI. Dr. Naplitano commented "so it took you that long to come to me because you were afraid of an MRI?" (on a 3 year old, no less), and confirmed that he never did need one. Completely unprofessional, horrible medical practice.
