This place is amazing. I could NOT get my contacts out to save my life and went in there (after getting them from there) and the extremely kind and patient doctor got them out for me faster than I could say Boo! What a relief!! My thanks to him and his team for their help! I also got glasses there that have held the test of time and def plan on getting others from this place!!! Can't say enough good things about them!!!! Thanks Elegant eyes!! You have a customer for life!!!!

I was sent here from the eye doctor on academy st, since elegant eyes accepted my insurance. Came in with my prescription, the lady at the front desk was very polite and efficient. However, the tall brown skinned older lady needs customer service training. I’m only allowed one pair of glasses for 24 months so I wanted to make sure I actually liked the pair insurance was paying for. She was standoffish & irritated I asked to see other frames that I can pay out of pocket for. Low Huffs and puffs. I tried on about 4 pair, felt her energy & ended up just choosing a pair I didn’t even like (nor do I remember the style now) because I just wanted to get out of there. After I pick up my lenses, I definitely won’t be coming here again. The place wasn’t even busy so it’s not like I was holding up time for other patients. I literally was the only one being seen. Overall, I don’t recommend this place.

Today I went into the broad st store , mainly because I heard that it was black owned. I went into this store looking to purchase a pair of 329$ eye glasses for my 10 year old son whom I’m a single dad to. Anyway after trying to see if I could possibly get a discount through a form of simple negotiations, I was told by the Man I now know name to be Cabral that , “this store was no place like to hustle or “ , this statement was , to me, discerning and kind of rude, however I still was seeking to purchase these expensive Tom ford eyeglasses for my son, I then said forget looking for a discount I will pay the asking price , however could they tell me the make and model of the pair I was purchasing , just so that I may see the market price as well as what authentic ones were? , they then became kind off of Standish, and deceitful and a lil rude and then said that they now didn’t want to serve me. This was very disheartening and wrong and for no reason. Especially to do this in front of my son for absolutely no reason if merit . It just was wrong and not what I expected or deserved at all. I hope this can change

On 3/20 I went in to the Broad Street location to get the frames tightened. Not only did they charge me $5 for it but they blurred my lenses! I didn't ask for my lenses to cleaned so now I can't see, not matter how many times I've tried to clean them. I would have went to my regular optician but they were out of my way and I had used Elegant Eyes in the past. This experience was not a good one and I will never use them again. I've never had to pay for tightening so I felt extorted. I should have walked out of there. If you were to get your frames tightened, make sure they don't alter your lenses to where they are unusable! Shame on them! Update 4/1/2021 (Not an April Fools joke!) Reached out to Denise the supervisor on the matter and she went above and beyond! No only did she replace my lenses (they were defective) but she gave me a huge discount for the inconvenience! When I picked up my frames, they were better than when I first walked in! I thanked her for her help and as a result, changed my review to 5 stars!
