The Eye Man

Needed new glasses badly and made my appt. The staff was extremely helpful and helped me find exactly what I needed. Shafi took his time and was very patient with me and even did his best to rush my glasses to be finished before my work trip.

In May 2024 I ordered a year's worth of contacts which were supposed to be shipped to me. I still have not received the complete order. I was very clear about needing them delivered before a certain date, after which I would no longer be at that address. In spite of numerous clear communications, the contacts were shipped late to that address, and since I was not there to receive them, they were apparently stolen. Eye Man ordered replacement lenses shipped to me at my new address. They did not arrive until October - 5 months later. One of the 4 boxes was for an incorrect prescription. Eye Man promised to have that box replaced. It is now almost February, 8 months since I paid for the contacts. The 6-month supply of contacts in the single correct prescription box is gone. And in spite of constant communication from me and multiple promises from them, I have not yet received the final box of contacts I paid for. The people at this business are very nice, but are not reliable at best, and are deceptive at worst. I would highly recommend that you find a different optometrist for your optical needs on NYC's upper West Side.

Long awaited review. The Eye Man have an extensive collection of high end frames and glasses — I was also able to utilize my benefits for them as well - huge plus! The staff was very patient and helpful in picking out the right frames for me. Additionally, the doctor gave amazing service and was very helpful with my first time contact lenses fitting. The technician was great in training and showing me how wear contacts and carefully.

Excellent experience and highly recommend exams and eye wear at the Eye Man. I visited several optometrists and eyeglass shops up and down Broadway. My daughter and I decided to test and purchase our eyeglasses from the Eye Man. All of the associates we worked with were friendly and knowledgeable. We had coverage with many options and they were great consulting us on how to maximize our coverage to minimize our out of pocket costs. They have an extensive selection of frames. They were also able to special order a model and size they did not have on location at the time for me. They offered to special ship out of state as well for us. They'll go that extra mile for you too. Come on in and check them out.
