Metro Optics Eyewear - Parkchester

I had a terrible experience at this place. If you're late by just 15 minutes, they refuse to let you see the doctor, but if you're on time, be prepared to wait over 3 hours! It's absolutely ridiculous. I begged them to see the doctor after being slightly late, but they flat-out refused. When I asked the front desk lady to speak with the doctor, other front desk lady completely ignored and without talking doc said she did . I've been waiting a whole week for this appointment, and this is how they treat their patients? It's insane and unprofessional. They clearly don’t care about their patients. Save yourself the frustration and find a place that actually values your time and health!

I had my first visit to Metro Optics Eyewear at Parkchester. Excellent service! From the front desk to the doctor, everyone was kind and professional. They have great and outstanding customer service and they're professionalism and kindness made my visit there treasured. Not forgetting to mention they have amazing Eyewear frames available and good prices too! I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs!

I have been a loyal customer at Metro Optics for years, but after my recent experience, I will not be returning. The technician, Gary, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I simply asked whether the insurance price covered one pair or both pairs of glasses, he ignorantly called me “dumb.” I reminded him that “there is no such thing as a dumb question,” yet he continued to belittle me, saying I was “dumbing myself down” for not using Google or calling my insurance company first as if they’d know the store policy on insured glasses. Instead of providing proper customer service, he went on a bizarre 10-minute rant, asking where I work, making odd comments about furniture flying in my face, telling me “40 people die a year on the subway” (wtf does that have to do with me asking about insurance on the glasses) and even lecturing about going to the dentist every six months—maybe because I have braces? Ironically, his own teeth didn’t look like they had seen a dentist in years. This was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. If Metro Optics allows employees like Gary to treat customers this way, they don’t deserve my business. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

My experience @ Metro Optics in Parkchester was wonderful. The customer service is outstanding . The entire team makes you feel like family and their Patience is top notch, especially dealing with such a diverse community. Very appreciative of the service that they give in our community !

About three weeks ago I entered this location to pick up my glasses. while I was greeted by front desk. I had a horrible experience with the technician. Didn’t catch his name but he was African American with locks. He was so RUDE that Evette had to apologize on his behalf. No one should be treated in that manner especially when I spend almost $400 for my glasses. I will NOT be returning to this location and will take my services some where else.
